The Institute of Education is offering Leaving Certificate Students the opportunity to attend courses that cover the mandatory practical elements of the Leaving Certificate syllabus, in the following subjects:

Biology

Chemistry

Physics

The courses will be tutored by highly experienced Science teachers.

Please click on the 'Timetable' button above to view the times that the classes are scheduled.

Classes will cover all the mandatory practical elements of the above subjects as set out in the Leaving Certificate Syllabus. They will also include aspects of the relevant theory. Students will be assigned some homework. Classes are designed to work in conjunction with the theory classes scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday mornings.

· Practical classes will commence on the week of 12th October 2011.
· Students MUST enrol before Wednesday 5th October 2011 as laboratory spaces are limited.
· Missed Practicals will not be repeated.

· Students taking any subject independently MUST inform their schools. The Institute of Education accepts no responsibility for students who fail to do so or who fail to apply to sit the subject in the Leaving Certificate.

FEE:

Biology: €400

Chemistry: €550

Physics: €600

A discount of 10% will be applied to the Practical course fee, for those studentsenrolled in the associated theory classes.  Please contact our office to enroll on this course.

PRACTICAL CLASSES WILL PROCEED SUBJECT TO SUFFICIENT DEMAND.
