A One Year intensive course for mature students/Leaving Certificate repeat students requiring grade C3 and above in Leaving Certificate Higher Irish for entry to:

All areas of examination covered with graded assessments.
Fully comprehensive notes given with sample answers.
Each student will have the opportunity to take a full mock oral exam in Spring 2012.
Classes are 2 hours.
Classes are held on Wednesday Evenings 5:30 to 7:30pm
Basic minimum entry requirements:
A pass at Leaving Certificate Irish (Ordinary Level).
About the Course tutor:
Clare Grealy is a graduate of UCD where she obtained a B.A. in Irish and Politics and also a graduate of Kings Inns (barrister-at-Law). Clare joined The Institute of Education on a full-time basis in 2001 and has over 20 years experience of teaching Irish to Higher Level Leaving Certificate.
She has contributed to both Irish Independent Exam Brief Supplements and RTE exam programmes. She has also assisted in researching The Irish Language and has helped in the translation of a number of texts into Irish.
She is co-author of “Ar an Taobh Eile den Scamall” a novel which won second prize at t-An Oireachtas 2003.
Throughout her teaching career she has also been instrumental in teaching Irish to a vast number of various nationalities who have to study Irish.

LEAVING CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION
Students who are attending part-time classes and who are NOT ATTENDING school should apply in November to the State Examinations Commission, Cornamaddy, Athlone, Co. Westmeath for an E10 Leaving Certificate application form (Tel. 0906-442700).
The Institute of Education accepts no responsibility for students who fail to make application.
