Details of our HPAT Preparation course are below;

Day One

This session will deal with each of these three sections individually, working through sample questions in detail. You will also be given the opportunity to try some questions yourself to allow you to apply the strategies provided and develop your confidence.

You will be given the opportunity to work through practice questions ahead of Day Two, to allow you to thoroughly review the areas covered in Day One, improve your exam skills, and further increase your confidence.

Day Two

This session will begin with a brief review of the major strategies discussed in Day One. You will then sit a full HPAT-style examination under realistic conditions, giving you invaluable exam experience. The results of this will allow you to gauge your progress and highlight any sections that may require further work ahead of the exam, to ensure that your efforts are focused on those areas that will yield the greatest benefit.

The course will conclude with a talk on managing your time, setting realistic and effective study plans, and managing your workload, to help you achieve your potential in both the HPAT-Ireland Admissions Test in February and in the Leaving Certificate in June.

The Course Tutor:

The Course tutor is a qualified accountant, who left a successful career to pursue his ambition to become a doctor by repeating the Leaving Certificate in June 2008.  He achieved a score in the top 1% of candidates in the 2007 UMAT examination, upon which HPAT-Ireland is based. He also achieved a score of 600 points in the 2008 Leaving Certificate.

He fully understands the pressure you may be under this year, and has tailored the course to give you the best possible HPAT preparation, without taking focus away from the Leaving Certificate examinations in June.
