The Course commences on the weekend of the 10th September 2010.  Students may join our weekend classes at any time.

Classes are for 1.5 hours.

The course is designed for Students sitting the Leaving Certificate in June 2011, classes are also available for students sitting the Leaving Certificate in 2012/2013.  Please refer to our Subjects and Timetable pages for additional information.

Please Note; A Photograph of the student is required to process their admission card. Please choose from one of the three options below;

1. Students may call into the Institute of Education Office between 9am and 6pm, Monday / Friday & Saturday 9am to 12:30pm, where we can take a photograph of the student and create their admission card.

2. Email a photograph to: photos@ioe.ie , please include the Student full name and and Date of Birth in the message of the email.

3. Post a Passport sized photograph to:

The Elective element of the new geography course has demanded that we have two separate and distinct classes.

OPTION AND ELECTIVE UNITS:
Both Global Interdependence and Geoecology are covered in both Friday and Saturday classes. Notes will be provided on the other option units.
Students studying the Economic Processes Elective should join the 9.00am Saturday class.
Students studying the Human Environment Elective should join the 7.15pm Friday class.
 

The Elective/Option sections of both classes will be covered from January 2010.
Field work of Geography course is not included.

Leaving Certificate 2012 / 2013 - 5th Year and 4th Year Timetable:

Special classes for the subjects listed below are provided for 5th Year students taking the Leaving Certificate in 2011. 5th Year students may enrol in Leaving Certificate 2010 classes in certain other subjects not listed below.

Waer are also offering Business (Higher), subject to demand. Please contact our office (01 661 3511) to express your interest in attending this class.

4th Year (Transition Year) students taking the Leaving Certificate in 2011 may enrol in the 5th Year classes listed above, with the exception of Irish and English.
