Study Skills Seminars

These seminars are designed to help students improve their study technique, advising them on how best to approach and manage their workload. The seminars help students to develop good time management skills and improve their organisational capability.

The seminars are designed for students in 4th, 5th and 6th Year.

Course Content

The course will cover the following topics:

• Effective classroom skills

• Improving concentration

• Motivating yourself

• Setting Goals

• Effective revision skills

• Taking and making Notes

• How to do better homework

• Revision techniques

• Exam techniques

• Health and Study

• Memory techniques

Timetable:

Course 1: Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st August 2013, 1.30pm to 3.30pm (2 hours each day)

Course 2: Saturday 7th September 2013, 9am to 1pm (4 hours)

Fees:

The fee for the Study Skills Seminar is €135.
