The International Office
We recognise that students making the transition to the Irish education system need support and advice on many days-to day issues. In addition, students living away from home for the first time may also have special needs. The international office in The Institute of Education gives significant support to international students during their studies.

The international office also has a supervisory role in monitoring student progress and ensuring that they are aware of and comply with the regulations of the school.
Administrative Support
- Applications for Admission – assessment of academic qualifications.
- Study Visa – providing advice and college letters needed to apply for a visa and renew a visa once the student is in Ireland.
- Invitation Letters – for parents or relatives who wish to visit students in Ireland.
- Accommodation – Accommodation can be arranged with specially chosen host families.
- Monitoring of attendance – attendance records are rigorously kept and monitored.
Academic Support
- Academic support – reviewing essays and assignments for exam preparation. We also monitor student’s academic progress in liaison with teachers.
- Academic Progress Reports – we provide parents and guardians with information on how the student is performing and behaving.
